| Susan Kosel's Classroom Website | | | | Penquins of Antarctica | Welcome to Class 113. There are 27 wonderful, intelligent 2nd and 3rd grade students in the class. We have 12 - 2nd graders and 15 - 3rd graders.
The class schedule consists of a morning literacy block with reading workshop, a language (word study, spelling, grammar work) block, and guided reading groups. Susan Bowman, reading specialist, and Bao Yang, the ELL teacher, are in the classroom to assist with collaborative teaching and help facilitate differentiated instruction. We try to meet the needs of all the students at their academic level.
The afternoon schedule consists of writing workshop, math, and social studies. We have prep time from 12:25 to 1:15 pm and this is the best time to contact me at 651-293-8857 or you can e-mail me at susan.kosel@spps.org. Most of our weekly information comes home in the Friday Folder. Please check it every week for the current school news and student work. Remember book bags are due every morning. Help your student read every night.
Enjoy our pictures of the penguins of Antarctica from last year.
