Meeting Date - March 27, 2008
Hardware/Software Issues:
- RM's 217, 215, 216, 214, 212 Check to see if computers work and are connected to the network. If not working properly, can be they be reimaged or repaired? All computers are OK except 218010 in RM 218 which will not connect to network and runs intermittently slow. Consider discarding. Still need to check RM 217.
- Check for spell check on computers in RM 212. Added spell check to toolbars.
- Everyday Math Games installed on all classroom computers.
- Math Facts in a Flash - Are there harder lessons? Some students are already finished with the complete collection.
Student-Related Issues:
- Desire for basic computer skills training for all students (to be addressed by adding a computer prep teacher for 2008-9).
- Acquire a keyboarding program and provide student instruction (to be addressed by adding a computer prep teacher for 2008-9). Network considerations OK'd by Help Desk and suggestion of Type to Learn 3 (network) forwarded to Melissa.
Desired Staff Training Topics:
- SPPS Resource Page training (training topic for all staff) should be added to staff computer training calendar. Training offered 4/8/08 at Nokomis.
